Many of them are at the higher end of most people’s budget (and getting more expensive due to tariffs), but you don’t have to spend top dollar to get great performance. Sure, a budget pair of headphones can’t necessarily go toe-to-toe (or ear-to-ear) with flagships from Sony, Bose, or Sennheiser. Even so, there are cans for under $100 that deliver impressive performance for the price. One of those is the Soundcore Space One, which are on sale at Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart for an all-time low of $67.99 for Cyber Monday.Soundcore Space One$68$9931% off$68$68 at Amazon$68 at Walmart$68 at Best BuyThe Space One are a couple years old at this point, but they still hold up as a great budget option. They’re incredibly comfortable for long listening sessions, and they have the battery life — up to 40 hours with ANC enabled — that will outlast even the longest flights. Since they’re over-ear headphones, they have good passive sound isolation. Once you turn on the active noise cancellation, though, they do an excellent job blocking out lower frequencies, like airplane drones and nearby chatter. They don’t measure up to the Sony WH-1000XM6 or Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones in their ANC effect or sound quality, but they offer admirable performance for a fraction of the price of those headphones.RelatedThese great Cyber Monday tech deals likely won’t be around tomorrowAwesome Cyber Monday deals on Bose, Sony, and Apple headphones and earbudsThe best noise-canceling headphones to buy right nowThe high and low frequencies are a bit elevated on the Space One, so they sound a bit bassy and sizzly by default, but you can try over 20 different presets or tweak the sound yourself with an eight-band equalizer in the Anker companion app. Also included is HearID Sound tuning, which guides you through some comparative listening questions to adjust the sound to your preference. The app also has a loudness meter to let you know when what you’re listening to gets too loud and potentially dangerous to your ears. One way Anker managed to cut costs on the headphones is by including a cloth carrying bag instead of a traditional carrying case, so you may not want to be as carefree about throwing them into your backpack. But beyond the case, there’s a lot to like about the Soundcore Space One. With great ANC and sound, a comfortable fit, and long battery life, getting the Soundcore Space One is a good way to spend $68.Verge DealsSign up for Verge Deals to get deals on products we’ve tested sent to your inbox weekly.Email (required)Sign UpBy submitting your email, you agree to our Terms and Privacy Notice. The Soundcore Space One headphones represent a compelling value proposition in the noise-canceling headphone market, achieving a significant discount during Cyber Monday at a price of $68. Senior Reviewer, John Higgins, highlights the headphones as a strong option for consumers seeking effective noise cancellation without incurring a substantial financial investment. The Space One models, while not competing directly with flagship offerings from Sony or Bose in terms of advanced ANC performance or sound quality, deliver admirable results for their price point. The headphones offer a comfortable over-ear design suitable for extended listening sessions, supported by a notable 40-hour battery life with active noise cancellation enabled.

A key feature is the inclusion of customizable sound presets—over 20 in total—along with an eight-band equalizer within the Anker companion app. This allows users to fine-tune the audio profile to their personal preferences. Furthermore, the “HearID Sound tuning” system conducts a comparative listening test to identify optimal sound settings for individual hearing profiles. The accompanying app also incorporates a loudness meter, which monitors audio levels and alerts users to potentially damaging volumes.

Anker’s cost-saving strategies are evident in choices like the cloth carrying bag instead of a traditional case. While this may impact carrying case organization, it contributes to the overall affordability of the headphones. The Space One’s capabilities encompass low-frequency noise reduction effectively, performing admirably against airplane drones and ambient chatter. However, the headphones exhibit a slight elevation in high and low frequencies, resulting in a bass-heavy and sometimes “sizzly” sound signature. Despite this, the overall performance is commendable, particularly considering the purchase price. The Soundcore Space One headphones offer a solid combination of effective noise cancellation, comfortable design, long battery life, and a customizable audio experience, making them a worthwhile investment for budget-conscious consumers seeking an impressive auditory experience.
