Similar to its Outdoor UpDown Wall Light introduced in July 2025, Govee’s new Outdoor Chromatic String Lights don’t limit you to just one color per bulb. You can customize each individual one with multiple colors, gradients, and animated effects.Available starting today through Govee’s online store and Amazon, the Outdoor Chromatic String Lights are available in two lengths: a 32-foot option with 10 bulbs for $169.99 and a 65-foot version with 20 bulbs for $299.99.Each bulb features a double-layer shell to keep out the elements, reduce scratches, and diffuse the glow of the LEDs inside. Image: GoveeEach bulb features an IP67 weather rating, so it can survive heavy downpours, and is made with a dual-layer shell to help soften and diffuse its glow. Inside the bulbs, you’ll find 55 RGB LEDs that work together to either create solid colors or multi-color gradients that can be animated with smooth transitions that differ on every single one. Govee has introduced a new line of outdoor string lights, the “Outdoor Chromatic String Lights,” designed to offer a significantly higher degree of customization than competing products and even their own previously released offerings. The key innovation lies in the ability to individually control the color and effects of each of the 10 or 20 bulbs within the two available length options—a 32-foot version with 10 bulbs priced at $169.99 and a 65-foot version with 20 bulbs at $299.99. Unlike traditional string lights which often utilize a single color per bulb, these lights employ a double-layer shell technology to house 55 RGB LEDs capable of generating a diverse range of colors and gradients, allowing for dynamic, animated effects. Furthermore, the lights incorporate 54 dedicated white LEDs, emitting up to 240 lumens, providing a brighter, neutral white illumination option when desired.

The customization process is facilitated through the Govee Home app, which provides users with 12 music-reactive modes and extensive control over color palettes and transitions on an individual bulb level. Beyond native app control, the Outdoor Chromatic String Lights are designed with smart home integration in mind, offering compatibility with Matter and supporting integration with Amazon and Google smart home ecosystems, allowing for voice-activated control. The design incorporates an IP67 weather rating, ensuring resilience against heavy rain and other environmental factors. The dual-layer shell construction further protects the LEDs from scratches and diffuses the light effectively. These features represent an enhancement to Govee’s existing offerings, particularly their Outdoor UpDown Wall Light released earlier in 2025, and aim to provide consumers with a significantly more versatile and aesthetically customizable outdoor lighting solution.
