The Ruby for Good event is an annual event happening this year in the Washington DC area where programmers from all over the globe get together over a long weekend to build and contribute to projects that help our communities. Think hanging out in a communal space for a weekend with developers and designers to build something useful for nonprofits and social sector organizations. After the event the projects live on as open source projects.
Refund/Exchanges: After Jun 7th we will be unable to offer refunds but we will happily help coordinate transfers until Jul 20th.

The Ruby for Good event is an annual gathering in the Washington DC area designed to bring together programmers and developers from around the globe for a long weekend focused on building and contributing to projects that benefit communities. This event facilitates a communal environment where developers and designers collaborate to create useful solutions for nonprofit and social sector organizations. Following the conclusion of the event, the projects developed by the participants continue their existence as open source projects. The event is scheduled to take place from 4pm on August 27th to 12pm on August 30th, 2026, and will be hosted at the Shepherd's Spring Retreat Center, located in Sharpsburg, Maryland. Registration for the event is all inclusive, providing attendees with shared lodging, all meals, snacks during evening activities, and opportunities for socializing, in addition to providing some merchandise. Regarding financial arrangements, refunds will not be offered after June 7th, although the organizers will assist with coordinating transfers until July 20th.
