Earthion is presented as a new shoot 'em up game from the Ancient brand, rooted in a post-apocalyptic setting where humanity has abandoned Earth due to environmental depletion, facing an existential threat from hostile invaders. The core narrative positions the player as an environmental researcher, Azusa Takanashi, who pilots the advanced space fighter YK-IIA to lead the most critical counterattack in human history to save the remaining remnants of mankind. The gameplay is structured around eight action-packed stages designed to deliver stunning visuals, frenetic gameplay, and remarkable special effects, immersing the player in a high-stakes struggle for survival.

This music is unique because it was composed entirely using actual Genesis hardware, offering a nostalgic yet modern musical experience.
