iPhone Duo is splash, water, and dust resistant and was tested under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP68 under IEC standard 60529 (maximum depth of 6 meters up to 30 minutes). Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent conditions. Resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear. The display has rounded corners that follow a beautiful curved design, and these corners are within a standard rectangle. Connectivity is managed through an eSIM-only design, supporting Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and 5G, along with advanced satellite features for emergency communications, roadside assistance, and emergency SOS.

The camera system on the iPhone Duo employs a 48MP Dual Fusion setup, comprising a 48MP Fusion Main camera and a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera, alongside a 12MP Center Stage front camera with under-display FaceTime capability. This system is enhanced with intelligent features such as Smart Take for automated photo capture, Duo Preview for live framing previews, Kid Cue for engaging children, and Duo FaceTime for remote group calls, along with intelligent photo editing tools like Spatial Reframing and Clean Up to refine images. Advanced photographic capabilities include Cinematic mode, 4K time-lapse recording, and on-device Smart focus tracking.

The device is deeply integrated with Apple Intelligence and Siri AI, which functions as a conversational assistant capable of providing personal context, accessing world knowledge, and executing app actions. This AI layer extends to enhanced productivity features, including Call Context, and creative tools like Image Playground, which allows for the generation and modification of high-quality images. Furthermore, the operating system incorporates features like Shortcuts for automating tasks, Safari Notify Me for monitoring information, and upgraded Messages and Mail suggestions.

Environmentally, the iPhone Duo reflects Apple’s commitment through material sourcing, utilizing 85 percent recycled titanium in the enclosure and being manufactured using 60 percent renewable electricity. Packaging is also addressed with a commitment to 100 percent fiber-based materials.
